Richard Robertson Obituary

Richard K. Robertson, born September 27, 1933, passed away peacefully with family by his side, on the afternoon of October 19, 2021. He was the eldest son of Kermit Robertson and Elsine Dutton Robertson.

He was predeceased by his sister, Anita Robertson; brother, Daniel  Robertson; the mother of his four daughters, Junne Knight Robertson; his wife from his second marriage, Alce Robertson; and stepson, Malcolm Zlotkowski.

He was an Air Force veteran, and was retired from Central Maine Power Company.

He will be deeply missed by his four daughters, Venita, Rhonda, JoAnn (and Blaine Webber) and Jane (and her husband Gary McIntire); his grandchildren, Graham Clark (his wife Kristina and children Graham and Owen), Emma Clark, Chase McIntire and Junne Robertson McIntire.  Additional family he leaves behind: Roger Blake, Lincoln Blake, Suzanne and Mark Robertson and their families, Johnny Zlotkowski, Catherine Kovach and their families.

He was a builder and a mover. He built at least eight houses throughout his lifetime, and enjoyed moving rocks with his custom-made jitterbug.  He loved Half Moon Pond, jazz music, and antique cars. You could find him every Friday night at the Reny’s plaza car show and Tuesdays in Brooks with “The Liar’s Club.”

He will be remembered for his gifts of watermelon, cherries, farmer fries,  fireworks for the Fourth of July, and endless boxes of diapers for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A gathering to honor his life, and share memories, is planned for November 6th, from 10am-12pm, at the North Searsport Christian Center, on the corner of Loop Road and 756 Mt. Ephraim Road.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543.  Condolences, and messages for his family, may be expressed by visiting: www.StrongHancock.com.
