James “BJ” Fitzpatrick, 69, passed away peacefully in the wee morning hours of November 21st, at the LincolnHealth - Miles Campus, with his twin sisters by his side. He was born July 11, 1950, in Damariscotta, Maine, the third child of John and June (Reilly) Fitzpatrick.
BJ had a light and loving spirit…he was an Irish rebel, feisty and fiery, a man of adventure and a big kid at heart. BJ, like his mother, was the pied piper of children; you could find him leading his many nieces and nephews on fun-filled adventures. His smile and infectious laughter and endless generosity will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and June Fitzpatrick; and brother, Kevin.
He leaves his family, Melissa Burnham and her husband Larry, son Justin & daughter Desiree; Jack Fitzpatrick, daughter Jennessa; eldest nephew, Joshua Fitzpatrick (son of Kevin); Junie Fitzpatrick, son James and daughters Jade & Jena; Melinda Fitzpatrick, daughters Jaime & Jazmin; Kerry Fitzpatrick, daughters Nicole, Stephanie, son Travis. Committed, loving life-partner, Lori Benner. And Ethan Genthner, his shotgun side-kick, partner in crime and forever friend.
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
